Overview

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Stephanie L. Leal’s Neuroscience of Memory, Mood, & Aging Lab, housed at Rice University in Houston, Texas. My research examines the relationship between hormone declines with menopause and Alzheimer’s disease, in the context of brain network dynamics and memory performance.

I completed my PhD in Neuroscience in August of 2022 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. In Dr. Jessica A. Bernard’s Lifespan Cognitive & Motor Neuroimaging Lab, I investigated cerebellar contributions to age-related functional declines and sex differences in the aging brain, primarily using neuroimaging and non-invasive brain stimulation.

In May of 2017, I received my BS in Neuroscience from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. There, I explored the relationship between sleep and memory in older adults via Dr. Michael K. Scullin’s Sleep Neuroscience & Cognition Lab.
